About
About Dr. Julie Hayden
“To train effective clinicians and bring healing opportunities to all, especially those in underserved populations.”
Dr. Julie Hayden is a licensed clinical psychologist (CA PSY24184) with more than 22 years of clinical experience and one of San Diego County's most consequential leaders in homelessness recovery, addiction treatment, and counselor education.
She leads a network of organizations spanning residential recovery, transitional housing, community counseling, and higher education — and co-created the frameworks that hold them together: the Rhombus Model™ and the Protect → Prepare → Propel™ continuum of care, developed with her husband and co-founder, Dr. Ray Hayden.
Her approach is defined by a rare combination: the clinical depth of a practicing psychologist, the systems thinking of an executive who runs the organizations, and the teaching instinct of an educator who trains the next generation of clinicians. It is why her model doesn't just help people — it can be measured, taught, and repeated.
